Als Buddha 50 Jahre alt war, ließ er verkünden, dass er die buddhistische Religion nach Suvarnabhumi bringen werde.

Buddha und seine Anhänger, Phra Maha Kassapa, Phra Maha Mokkalana, Phra Siwali, Phra Maha Kachayana, Phra Anont, begaben sich zum Phuphalarnsong in Suvarnabhumi, um Phra Thewachak Kittiko aufzusuchen, den Vorsitzenden der Mönchsgemeinde. Als Buddha Phuphalarnsong erreicht hatte, begab er sich zu den Klippen an der Westseite von Phuphalarnsong. Er strich mit der Innenseite seiner linken Hand über den Felsen und sagte: „Eines Tages wird dieser Ort ein geschichtlich wertvoller Ort sein“.

Als Buddha über den Felsen strich, lehnte sich die Felsplatte nach vorn, um diese wertvolle Gabe anzunehmen. Phra Maha Kassapa pflanzte anschließend einen Baum (Ton Niang) aus Indien vor der Drachenhöhle.

Von dieser Sorte gibt es nur einen Baum auf dem gesamten Berg.
