Surviving dependant’s pension
If your spouse dies as a result of an accident at work or an occupational illness, your occupational
accident insurance will pay you a surviving dependant’s pension (unless and until you remarry). The
amount of this pension is determined by your age, your earning capacity or ability to work in your
occupation, and the number of children you have. For example, you receive an annual surviving
dependant’s pension equivalent to 40% of your deceased spouse’s annual income before deductions if
you meet any one of these conditions:
