Er hatte das Gefühl, dass der Mönch in anlächelt und ihm zu verstehen gibt, dass der Novize das Buch nehmen soll. Dies tat er und verschwand mit dem Büchlein. In der Zeit studierte er den Inhalt des Buches und kehrte zum Tempel Woen Sai zurück. Er blieb dort, bis er das Alter für die Mönchsordination erreichte. Er wurde im Alter von 20 Jahren zum Mönch im Tempel Wat Nak Nimit.
Nach seiner Ordination kehrte er zurück und verbrachte die Fastenzeit im Wat Woen Sai . Er war ein sehr gewissenhafter Mönch und hielt sich streng an die Regeln des Dharma. Er schrieb zudem mehrere Bücher über Magie, Kräuter und viele andere Dinge. Seine magischen Fähigkeiten waren legendär und daher woben sich viele Geschichten um ihn bis zum heutigen Tage.
Er erhielt den Namen “Samret Lun” Samret ist in Laos eine Bezeichnung für eine ehrwürdige Person, wir nennen dies bei uns Somdet. Aus Samret Lun wird demnach Somdet Phra Ratcha Khana. Auf einem alten Bild in der Wohnstube von Luang Phor sehen wir Somdet mit einem Fächer aus Gold auf der einen Seite und auf der anderen Seite ein Fächer, der aus Frankreich stammt, aus Elfenbein.
